About the Event

Join us for a full day of old-fashioned fun and activities throughout Marysville!

Throughout the day, visit the Pony Express Barn & Museum to pound pennies, participate in a stick-horse race, shell and grind corn, lasso a sawhorse and learn about the mochila.

Morning Activities: - Old-Fashioned Kids' Games** at the Koester House Gardens, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Kids can enjoy timeless classics like Blind Man's Bluff, Pick Up Sticks, Hoop and Stick, and more!

- School in Sessio at the one-room schoolhouse in Marysville City Park. Experience what school was like in the past with our school marm leading sessions at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

- "You've Got Mail: Exploring Letter-Writing Through Time" presented by Celia Daniels at the Marysville Public Library, 11 a.m.

- STEM Activities by Parents as Teachers, downtown from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Lunch: - Mochila Lunch at the art center, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Enjoy a special mochila sack lunch with your choice of sandwich, chips, fruit, homemade cookie and drink for $10 at the Lee Dam Center for Fine Art. - Food trucks! Bite Me Barbecue and the Country Cabin. - Drinks by Irrigation Ales and the Tipsy Trailer - Enjoy Marysville's fantastic restaurants

Musical performances: - Geff Dawson & Dawn with special guest, Cuz Garver perform at the Lee Dam Center for Fine Art at 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Afternoon Activities: - Museum Tours from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. Explore the rich history of Marysville with guided tours. - Indian Creek Historical Fashions presents a fashion show of women's clothing from 1860-1890 at 2 p.m. in the Koester House Gardens. - Discover Downtown from 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. in the 900 block of Broadway. Explore the upper stories of these historic buildings and hear stories about what it "used to be like" when the spaces were filled.

Evening Activities: - Chuckwagon Dinner served on South 8th Street by the Pony Express Museum, 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. The dinner includes "Slice of Heaven: the Church Pie Contest," where you can vote for the best pie in town! Homemade ice cream is included too! Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for kids 12 and under. - Barn Dance outside the Pony Express Barn, 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Wrap up the day with a lively barn dance under the stars. Music by The Matchsellers with Derrick Doty calling the dance.

Plus, all day long: - Food Trucks serving up delicious eats. - Irrigation Ales will be on hand with their local brews.
